Eternity Has No Door Of Escape

The Austrian artist Josef Hofer born in 1945, whom we have represented since 2008 and to whom we have devoted two monographic exhibitions, is now part of the collection of the LAM, Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Art Brut of Lille Metropole, Villeneuve d’Ascq.

Arnulf Rainer, one of his first collectors, says of him that he is “one of the greatest artists of art brut” and as Michel Thévoz points out, “Josef Hofer is in a state of grace”.
