Lecture signature

The actors Bass Dhem and Delphine Zingg will give a reading of Perrine Le Querrec’s book on Saturday, November 30, at 4 p.m., at the gallery, in the presence of the author who will sign her book.

Le Plancher retraces the life of Jeannot, a Béarn native who lived in seclusion on the family farm, alongside his hardy parents who were cut off from the world.

When his mother died in 1971, some time after his father’s suicide, Jeannot kept the body before burying it under the family staircase. He then stopped eating and began to engrave the floor of his room with a long text. He died a few weeks later at the age of 33.
