The gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its new space located at 95 Rivington Street (lower east side), on October 30. It will be directed by Phillip March Jones.

Phillip March Jones is a curator, writer, and artist based in New York City. He is founder of Institute 193, a non-profit contemporary art space and publisher in Lexington, Kentucky. His works and writings have been published by Vanderbilt University Press, Dust-to-Digital, and the Jargon Society, among others.

Since 2009, Jones has co-curated with the Chrisian Berst’s gallery the exhibitions American Outsiders, The Black South (2009); Albert Moser, Life as a Panoramic (2012); Mary T. Smith, Mississippi Shouting (2013); and Eugene Von Bruenchenhein, American Beauty (2013).

This new venture is made possible by the unwavering support of Daniel and Carmen Klein: friends, passionate collectors, and partners in the gallery since 2010. The deepening nature of our working relationship is represented in changes to both our gallery name and logo.
