Nico van der Endt - rest in peace

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Nico Van der Endt (1941-2025). For more than half a century, at the helm of Galerie Hamer in Amsterdam, this pioneer of Art Brut introduced us to artists from around the world.
For many, he will remain the foremost expert and champion of the work of the iconic Willem Van Genk, with whom he had developed a deep bond, organizing international exhibitions and overseeing landmark publications on his oeuvre.
A remarkable gastronome and a refined intellectual, he was always a role model to me before becoming a dear friend. I will sorely miss the exchange of our discoveries and our literary discussions.
