Art vs Wild :
Sylvart residency
The christian berst art brut gallery will welcome from the 22nd till the 27th November, the exhibition ART VS WILD, a selection of works realized in 2014 within the Sylvart residence by five Belgian artists presenting a handicap: Laura Delvaux, Tony Coopman, Julien Detiège, Alain Meert and Jean-Marie Heyligen.
During the exhibition, the 7 episodes of the Web series ART vs WILD (2014) will be screened. The series were directed by Damien Odoul and Marie-Eve Nadeau and coproduced by Arte creative. They tell the tale of this artistic experience.
Sylvart is an experimental and innovative project developed by the director Damien Odoul, his partner Marie-Eve Nadeau and Myrtille Saint-Martin at the heart of a forest in Lozère. In echo with the assertion of the German poet Hölderlin who wrote: “Full of merit, yet poetically humans dwell upon the earth”, in June 2014 Sylvart welcomed in residence five Belgian brut artists to live an unique experience binding art and environment. The only constraint consisted in working exclusively with natural materials in echo to the natural protected area. For ten days, the artists created works inspired by their immersion in the forest.
