dreaming the dark
curator : Julie Crenn
Christian Berst entrusts the first exhibition of 2022 in his space The Bridge to Julie Crenn, art critic and curator. This exhibition is part of a cycle of shows that she has initiated in 2015, around the manifesto Dreaming the Obscure - Women, Magic and Politics by the ecofeminist and alterglobalist activist Starhawk.
On this occasion Julie Crenn brings together 26 artists in search of the power of the inside, with as many different works, from Madge Gill (1882-1961) to Brodette (born in 1998). Each of the artists deploys a singular imagination where it is allowed to dream, to sing, to dance the obscure.
With artworks by : Catherine Boyer, Anne Brégeaut, Brodette, Guo Fengyi, Vidya Gastaldon, Pélagie Gbaguidi, Madge Gill, Hélène Gugenheim, Hessie, Esther Hoareau, Lauren Januhowski, Ïan Larue, Frédérique Loutz, Margot, Roberta Marrero, Cecilie Marková, Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien, Myriam Mihindou, Saba Niknam, Pistil Paeonia, Marilena Pelosi, Agathe Pitié, Pascale Simont, Delphine Trouche, Anna Zemánková, Henriette Zéphir.
