julia krause-harder
solo show
On the occasion of the 2025 edition of Art Basel Paris, the gallery is dedicating its booth (G11) to Julia Krause-Harder, presenting a display of her monumental dinosaur sculptures that invites the public to immerse themselves in the world of the German artist, where the archaeology of life takes shape through objects from our present. At the crossroads of science and fiction, her work naturally finds its place on the international stage.
Julia Krause-Harder, born in 1973 near Frankfurt, was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder that manifested from an early age as an obsessive passion for paleontology and the world’s highest peaks.
Her encyclopedic knowledge of some 860 dinosaur species led her to wish to bring them back to life in a way that is both poetic and rigorously scientific.
At the Goldstein Studio, which she has attended for more than twenty years, each specimen is recreated on a precisely reduced scale, using materials that are always unusual and always different.
As for the mountains and volcanoes she depicts, they invariably take the form of textile creations that combine embroidery and knitting.
Yet beyond the technical achievement that their creation often represents, Julia Krause-Harder’s works above all contribute to a re-enchantment
of the world.
Julia Krause-Harder’s work is driven by a profound fascination with paleontology and geography. The artist’s goal is to bring back to life the 800 documented species of dinosaurs.

On the occasion of our booth dedicated to Julia Krause-Harder for Art Basel Paris, the gallery has brought together in this publication all of the works on display. It will be available for purchase directly at our booth as well as on our website.
