Kurt J. Hass
It’s unexplainable
At the end of the 1970s, after his forties, Kurt Josef Haas escaped from his position as a commercial employee in Zurich. The growing interest in his work offered the waking dreamer the conditions for a change of direction.
He will travel the rivers of Europe on his barge, Le pré ardent, before settling in Spain and then Italy. When he returned to live in Switzerland in 1991, he was exhibited both in Europe and the United States.
Kurt likes telescoping, hybridization, and modest supports such as cardboard packaging.
The exhibition presents a series of his ballpoint pen drawings, from the “historical” ones of the 90s to a selection of his most recent work.
