Born in Bogotá in 1967, Jaime Cerón studied fine arts at the National University of Colombia where he completed a Master’s Degree in Art History and Theory. His work has been focused on teaching, writing art critics, curating, theoretical research, and cultural management, which he has developed simultaneously and continuously, from 1994 to the present.
He has been a fine art Manager of the Capital District, visual art Advisor of the Ministry of Culture and Curator of the Misol Foundation for the Arts. Between 2016 and 2020 he was deputy director of the Arts at Idartes. He is currently a curator and independent art critic.
