Isabel Alemán Corrales’ graphic work can be seen as a kind of bestiary featuring strange creatures, halfway between animals and plants. The presence of eyes in her compositions is what gives these figures a zoomorphic dimension, where plants and animals merge, recalling a time when the only trace of life was found in the depths of the sea. However, the motifs evoked in her works do not aim for realism and remain an expression of her imagination and great freedom.
Isabel Alemàn Corrales was part of the “Art Brut CUBA” exhibition at the Collection de l’Art Brut in 2025.
