- Katsuhiko Hibino, artist, President of Tokyo University of the Arts

Heralbony was founded by twins Takaya and Fumito Matsuda. “HERALBONY” is an unknown word first written in a notebook by Shota, the founders’ autistic older brother. When asked about its meaning, Shota replied “I don’t know”.
In creating Heralbony, Takaya and Fumito aim to give meaning to works by neurodivergent artists that are rarely considered. The two founders were awarded the Forbes 30 UNDER 30 JAPAN prize in 2019.
