Chief Curator at the Musée de l’Élysée Lausanne, after having been curator in charge of contemporary art at the LaM Lille, from 2010 to 2017, and Director of the Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Haute-Normandie from 1999 to 2010. Member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) since 1997, he has collaborated with numerous foreign and French magazines, including Art Press since 1994. He has curated reference exhibitions devoted to contemporary photography, drawing practices, current representations of the body, identity processes in today’s social spaces, and the relation between art and architecture.

Magali Nachtergael is an academic, specialist in literature and contemporary arts, curator and art critic. Her work has focused on the individual mythologies of art brut artists and the role of Harald Szeemann in the revaluation of their works. Her recent work are based on gender studies and were the occasion for a year of research at the Gender and Sexuality Studies Laboratory of the CNRS. She has published Les Mythologies individuelles, récit de soi et photographie au 20e siècle (Brill, 2012) and Roland Barthes contemporain (Max Milo, 2015).
