CHOICES Collectors Weekend, a new highlight of contemporary art in Paris: over 35 galleries in the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Belleville invite French and international collectors, professionals and art enthusiasts from 23 to 25 May 2014.

CHOICES Collectors Weekend places Paris in the heart of international cultural events and emphasises the vitality and quality of its art scene, confirming its role as an art capital of our time.

An innovative exhibition, for which each gallery selects one participating artist, marks the opening of this special weekend. Hosted at Palais des Beaux-Art, in collaboration with the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and curated by Nicolas Bourriaud, Director of the Beaux-Arts, together with a group of young students, the exhibition will feature an engaging parcours of the diverse French contemporary art scene.

The gallery has chosen a Dan Miller’s work.

Having become, in a decade, one of the most recognized contemporary brut artists, this autistic native of California is sometimes compared to Cy Twombly: while the latter deconstructs language, the former builds it. Since 2010, the gallery has contributed to its international recognition by organizing several exhibitions and publishing the only monograph available to date, enriched with an essay by Richard Leemann. Present in countless public and private collections - including those of the MoMA and Pompidou –, Dan Miller’s work was also part of the official selection of the 2017 Venice Biennale.
