Koji Nishioka
Koji Nishioka was born in 1970 and has been attending the Atelier Corners art studio in Osaka, Japan since 2015.
He has always been interested in writing and signs, which he copies on the back of advertising leaflets or in his school notebooks. Koji also loves music ; he plays the piano and even if we may not easily read musical scores, he transcribes them, transforming the lines into a kind of vessel resonating with music, thus managing to visually reflect the sound effects. It seems there is always music in his head.
Nishioka draws freely, and there is sometimes the idea that the full score won’t fit, but he somehow ensures it always all fits to the page.
