From September 28, 2024 to February 9, 2025, the Aschaffenburg Museum (Germany) will present Art Brut Biotope: Works from the Hannah Rieger Collection. Works by 46 artists will be on show, including pieces by Aloïse Corbaz, Madge Gill, Michel Nedjar, Anna Zemánková and Leopold Strobl.
Hannah Rieger’s internationally acclaimed collection of art brut focuses on works by women artists. After ending her career in banking, Hannah Rieger quickly gained access to the international art market.
Her collection (of around 500 works) includes works by Jacqueline B., Beverly Baker, Misleidys Castillo Pedroso, Aloïse Corbaz, Guo Fengyi, Jill Gallieni, Madge Gill, Oswald Tschirtner, Mary T. Smith, Momoko Nakagawa, Marilena Pelosi and Anna Zemánková, among others.
